Anker is the world's number one mobile charging brand, and its Prime Power Banks have garnered rave reviews since their release a couple of years ago. Never a company to rest on its laurels though, Anker contacted us to put the Prime range's charge everything everywhere mantra to the ultimate test ... by sending it into space!
The ultimate power bank durability test
However, simply having a power bank survive a space launch wasn't enough for the brand's ambitious engineers, so Anker devised an extreme power bank durability test: attempting to fully charge a depleted mobile phone battery in the cold temperatures of space. Ambitious? Yep. Bonkers? Absolutely. Right up our street? You bet!

An astronaut’s-eye view of Anker in space
Our technical team came up with a custom-engineered rig to give the audience an astronaut's-eye-view of the historic feat, crafting a pair of spacesuit-adorned limbs to hold the items at arms length from the space-capable camera. All that was left was to inflate the balloon, fire up the power bank and launch the craft on its epic journey into the unknown. Would Anker's Prime Power Bank succeed in its space mission? Or would subjecting the power bank to the freezing temperatures and ultra-low pressures experienced beyond Earth’s atmosphere be its undoing? Watch the video below to find out!
