That Boutique-y Gin Company created a unique space-inspired gin using genuine Moonrock samples. We took the gin one giant leap further
That Boutique-y Gin Company came to us looking for an eye-catching image to go on their new Moonshot gin bottles. After speaking to them about their distillation process, we had a ‘moonshot’ idea of our own: why not send all the gin’s botanicals into space instead?
EXECUTION
We created a stylish presentation to showcase all the botanicals that would give the gin its unique flavour, launching them nearly 35km (114,000 feet) above the Earth and capturing the journey in stunning 4K HDR. Following this flagship flight, we conducted a series of cargo launches lifting larger volumes of the botanical mix securely into space, before returning them to TBGC's team to incorporate into the gin’s distil.
The drink made a splash across the spirits industry, picking up awards at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2019, a Master award at the Gin Masters 2019, and a Silver Outstanding award at the International Wine & Spirits Competition 2017. Our imagery even got an award nod, with the drink winning Best Design & Packaging at the Drinks Business Awards 2017!
As a result of the campaign, the gin was picked up by several leading supermarket chains and is now offered nationwide. We continue to collaborate with the team, launching a new batch of botanicals for each production run.
