Mission

Fire an Oreo into the Milky Way for the ultimate dairy dunk.

Oreo is easily one of the most recognisable confectionary brands in the observable universe and has sold an estimated 500 billion cookies since its inception in 1912.

To celebrate the release of its new Space Dunk edition, Oreo enlisted Sent Into Space’s help to perform the ultimate dairy dunk: launching a cookie headlong into the Milky Way. Mission accepted.

Execution

This was no ordinary project and, as such, it required a truly extraordinary prop build to bring Oreo’s interstellar storytelling to life. Enter the technical team’s magnum opus, the Unidentified Flying Oreo (UFO) – an Oreo-branded flying saucer with a bespoke gas-powered cookie cannon at its centre.

Once the UFO reached an altitude of 120,000 feet, the ground team activated an array of uplink-triggered avionics to fire the cannon and launch its contents on a one-way trip to the Milky Way. Mission complete.
