Mission
Promote a big fixture by conducting the universe's inaugural Cosmic Pour
Houston Texans challenged us to pour the world’s first ever beer in space to drum up excitement for its 2026 Space City presented by Bud Light game.
In addition to this Cosmic Pour, Houston Texans and Bud Light also wanted to launch a number of special-edition beer cans beyond the atmosphere to transform them into UFOs – that’s unidentified fermented objects, of course – for lucky fans to enjoy.
Execution
To bring the concept to life, our engineering team designed and built an uplink-controlled robotic astronaut arm to tightly grip a spacefaring Bud Light can, as well as a plinth-mounted glass to pour the can’s contents into.
With temperatures in the upper stratosphere dropping to a positively frosty -76°F, we adorned the astronaut glove with an array of concealed heating elements to reduce the chances of the beer freezing during the flight.
The result? A perfectly executed pour that’s guaranteed to go down in the annals of extraterrestrial history.
