MISSION

Blend the world's first smoothie in space

To promote the release of the Blendjet 2, we sent the blender all the way to the stratosphere to demonstrate it's ability to blend anywhere you go — even hundreds of thousands of feet above the Earth.

EXECUTION

We built a bespoke mounting system to send a Blendjet 2 portable blender into space on one of our launch vehicles.

In order for us to activate the blender in space, we bypassed the Blendjet’s trigger mechanism to allow our flight computer to activate the blender. Given the ambient temperatures reaching as low as -60°c, we embedded concealed heating mechanisms in the device’s base to ensure the contents remained in a liquid state.

We launched the blender et voila! The Blendjet 2 made a smoothie 100,000 feet from the Earth’s surface.
