Charge a depleted phone battery during a spaceflight with an Anker Prime Power Bank
Anker is an absolute behemoth in the world of mobile charging, and its marketing team was looking for a way to put the Prime Power Bank’s 'charge everything everywhere' mantra to the ultimate test. After debating several options, the Anker team ultimately settled on sending its flagship model into one of the most extreme environments imaginable – space!
EXECUTION
Our engineering team set to work building a bespoke launch platform incorporating an array of space-capable cameras to capture the flight in both ultra high-definition and 360° formats. However, the rig’s real pièce de résistance was a pair of larger-than-life astronaut arms clutching the power bank and the charge-depleted phone, allowing the onboard cameras to gain a cosmonaut’s-eye-view of the historic feat. All that was left was to connect the two devices using one of Anker’s ultra-reliable USB-C cables, then we were ready to go.
With the balloon filled and all pre-flight checks complete, we fired up the Prime Power Bank and launched the craft on its extraterrestrial mission. Did the power bank live up to its charge everything everywhere mantra? Or, were the extraterrestrial extremes just too much? You’ll have to check out the video to find out!
